November 1: Checking how many Instagram likes your costume got last night. The time changes (good thing, because your Halloween festivities basically required that extra hour of sleep). We get a little more daylight in the morning (beats waking up in the dark). Now ready for bed around 5:30pm. Everything Halloween on clearance (taking advantage of the candy sale, specifically). So what does it all mean? Cue the Christmas commercials!
Happy Holidays, friends! If you’ve been belting Mariah Carey all morning and eating everything in sight, as calories don’t count from 12/24-12/26 (or all of December, really)…
Sometimes I like to keep things practical (like sharing the best holiday gifts under $50) and other times, I pretend like I have unlimited funds and add ridiculously expensive things to my wish list (AKA Pinterest) knowing if I can ever afford them, it will be when I have a full face of wrinkles (like Botox wouldn’t even be able to help me at that point). But a girl can dream, right? And isn’t that what the holidays are all about? Dreaming? (and Santa?)
Dressing for the holidays usually means one of two things — some sort of sparkly dress that you’ll more than likely spill champagne on less than an hour into the party or ugly Christmas sweaters. But is there anything in-between? I think YES. If you’re feeling festive, you’re going to really enjoy this. If not, GET IN THE MOOD.
On a budget this holiday season? (aren’t we all, though?) I decided to give in to the whole gift guide thing and keep it simple, share some cool stuff but also…NOTHING IS OVER $50!
