Creatures of the Wind on Net-a-Porter

As someone who obsessively checks “what’s new” on Net-a-Porter just about everyday (even though I know new items are only posted Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) I was beyond excited to see they recently picked up Creatures of the Wind. COTW Designers Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters graduated from SAIC in Chicago and it’s amazing to see their growing success in the fashion scene. Although I don’t know them personally, I’m so proud to see such success coming from Chicago-native designers. Always love a good boost to our fashion reputation in this city 🙂

Net-a-Porter Launches Karl Lagerfeld’s New Line, KARL

If you’re Net-a-Porter obsessed like me, you probably know by now that Karl Lagerfeld is launching his accessible line, KARL, to be exclusively sold on the luxury site today!

To celebrate the launch, Net-a-Porter has gone above and beyond to make this extremely special. The coolest part is that there will be 5  pop-up window shops that will be revealed in select locations worldwide. Using the NET-A-PORTER KARL app, visitors can shop and win by scanning products using their iPhone or iPad. In addition, visitors to the window shop will receive limited edition KARL goodie bags and t-shirts, with the first 50 visitors receiving a pair of iconic KARL leather gloves or a collar from the collection. Here’s where it’s happening…

Net-a-Porter + Refinery29 Chicago Event

Last week I attended quite the stylish soiree at Sable with Refinery29 and Net-a-Porter. It happened to be the last nice day we’d have for a while. So being around great people with delicious food with some decent January Chicago weather…let’s just say it was a pretty good time.

Yesterday Refinery29 posted some pics from the party and they even featured my custom PS1 I wore that night.

Currently Obsessing Over: Current/Elliott Suede Jeans

Current/Elliott has been killing it lately with their jeans. They’ve taken denim to another level, especially with the popular leopard skinnies. I was looking on Net-a-Porter last weekend, as I do every day, and I couldn’t take my eyes off the Ankle Skinny low-rise suede jeans…I just had to dedicate a full post to them.

It’s not easy to find high-waisted skinny jeans that look cool. These are an absolute perfect silhouette. To top it off, they’re suede…oh and they’re orange. So I guess you can say, they’re pretty sweet. I’d wear them with my vintage Chloe peasant blouse I got at Modern Vintage last month. Or even with a black Wolford bodysuit and cropped leather jacket.

Christopher Kane For J Brand

After Proenza Schouler for J Brand, the next designer collaboration for the denim company is a tough act to follow. However, I think choosing Christopher Kane couldn’t be a more perfect match. After killing it the last couple seasons with neon laser cut looks for Spring ’11 and an aqua-filled Fall ’11, there’s no doubt in my mind this J Brand collab will be a huge success.

The collection will be available on Net-a-Porter this month. Here’s a peak at Christopher Kane for J Brand.
