After I found this photo on Style.com during New York Fashion Week, I was immediately intrigued by this girl. Rainbow hair, a bright outfit…I definitely appreciate her style. Then I did a little research and found out who this mysterious explosion of color is…

NYFW Fall 2013 Day 2
If you’re not in NYC, you may have heard about this little storm called Nemo. Not sure where this name came about but let’s just say it was not easy to dress for. I assumed everyone would be dressed down at least a little bit (after all, would YOU want to ruin a $1,500 pair of shoes?) but I was pretty wrong. I didn’t think I’d be the only one in jeans and a t-shirt with flat boots, but I was wrong. It’s probably the Chicago in me that wants to go utilitarian. But at least I didn’t look like the idiot outside Lincoln Center in a super short and tight mini dress, with no tights and platform pumps. Yes, this really happened. But let’s get to the real fashion now.
Nicole Miller Spring 2013: Batteries Not Included
When I sat down for the Nicole Miller show and saw this as the description of the collection…I was already intrigued.
Nicole Miller Artelier Launch Event
Celebrate the launch of Nicole Miller Artelier this weekend! This collection is a step in a new direction for the brand with more casual dresses, skirts, blouses, pants, and even knitwear. Now offering more options for the Nicole Miller customer–especially those [like myself] who love their brights–I’m very excited about this new collection.
This all a part of the Old Town shopping event happening March 3 only, so don’t miss out on all the great offers these stores are having this Saturday!
Stop by Nicole Miller (1419 Wells Street) from 10am to 6pm to check out the new collection, plus receive $50 off purchases of $350 or more during your next visit.
Spring 2012 Trend: The Athlete
I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but today’s post was inspired by the Superbowl. Although I only paid attention during commercials, I had an idea of what was going on…and all I could think of was Spring ’12.
Ever wish you could turn your track pants into a stylish outfit? I still wouldn’t recommend trying that but you are in luck for Spring. With windbreaker jackets, side striped pants and mesh seen on the runways last September, it’s looking like the athlete is in for Spring 2012. However, the designers elevated these items to look like high quality fashion-forward pieces. So please don’t leave your house in work out clothes, unless of course you’re going to the gym.
Here’s a look at some of the sports-inspired looks for Spring ’12…
