If you have watched any TV, gotten on the Internet or spoken to anyone in the last week or so I’m sure you know how hard hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast. The extent of my current events knowledge rarely surpasses E! News but even I have been tuning into CNN and other news channels every day since.
On Saturday, August 27, 2011, Macy’s will host its 6th annual Shop For A Cause benefiting charities across the country. This one day event is a fun way for non-profits, school booster groups and other charitable organizations to raise funds and awareness for their causes.
By purchasing a $5 shopping pass from any participating organization, customers support their favorite causes and receive 25% off most regular, sale and clearance purchases in the store. This is even valid for shopping online all day Saturday, August 27! Plus, customers have the chance to win a $500 shopping spree.
Shop For A Cause passes are also being sold at all Macy’s stores through the 27th and at macys.com. All of the passes sold in store and online will benefit the March of Dimes, a leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health.
