If you’ve been on Instagram at all in the last week or so and happen to follow that really awesome @ChiCityFashion account, then you probably noticed the scenery hasn’t been looking much like Chicago. Between Oktoberfest in Munich and exploring Amsterdam for the last few days, I’ve experienced a lot of cool stuff that I just can’t keep to myself. So why not share? Fall Has Sprung
So I went from wearing shorts and a t-shirt yesterday afternoon to freezing my ass off in a sweatshirt this morning…you know what that means? I live in Chicago…and fall has sprung.
The Lollapalooza Layover
Every year I like to do some sort of Lollapalooza post but I always have to change it up. It’s such a huge event that attracts people from all over the world and it’s pretty cool to have it here in Chicago. Last year, it was all about those Lolla Dos and Don’ts and this year, I’m pretending to be Anthony Bourdain for just a sec.

I realize it’s quite common for a blogger to share the BEST Memorial Day sales out there so in that respect, I am no different. How is it that “but it’s on sale” can justify almost anything? Those Alaia boots are half off (meaning they’re still $1,100 and you haven’t paid rent this month) or those Miu Miu glitter booties from 3 years ago were “a great investment.” I’ve heard it all, I’ve said it all myself but it’s time to get realistic about what to buy and what not to buy when it comes to sales. And it’s perfect timing because one of my favorite sales just started…
