Topshop Chicago, Fashion’s Night Out & New York Fashion Week

Sorry my blogging has been a little MIA in the last few days…between the Topshop shopping preview, the Topshop dinner, Fashion’s Night Out and now leaving today for New York Fashion Week, my life has been a little crazy. But I just wanted to update you on the events I attended this week, and stay tuned for Fashion Week coverage [hopefully] starting tomorrow!

Fashion’s Night Out in CHICAGO

Happy Fashion Month! With Fashion’s Night Out, Fashion Week and the Fall collections rolling out, September is THE month for fashion.

I recently posted about Fashion’s Night Out but I wanted to give you the run down on the must attend events for FNO Chicago. Keep in mind, this is not the full list of events…but it’s a pretty damn good list. And I’ll leave it at that.

900 North Michigan Shops: Hosted by Brad Goreski, this “Fame Fashion & Flavor” themed event will have a beauty bazaar with complimentary services, a runway photobooth from eDrop-Off, in-store promotions and more. I’m hoping Brad will be werking a major lewk. (900 N. Michigan Ave, www.shop900.com)

Saks Fifth Avenue: Host Brian Atwood will unveil the new 10022-SHOE salon at Saks, which includes his new B Brian Atwood line. This is a great opportunity because Brian himself is from Chicago. Oh, and he’s ADORABLE! (717 N. Michigan Ave, www.saks.com)

Cerato Boutique: Enjoy complimentary wine, champagne, dessert, and additional surprise discounts. Guests can pick-a-flower from Cerato’s “blooming discount garden” and receive anywhere from 10% to 40% off their entire purchase in addition to 20% off fall merchandise. Serious discounts and supporting local designers…definitely not one to miss! (3451 N. Southport, www.ceratoboutique.com)

Oak Street: Your favorite stores on Oak street are teaming up for a fabulous FNO. Sofia, Jimmy Choo, Pomellato, Vince (just to name a few) are all participating in this major FNO block party. I suggest starting at Michigan and Oak and working your way down. You’re bound to end up with some goods by the time you get to Oak and Rush. (www.oakstreetchicago.com/fno)

Cynthia Rowley: Dana Weiss of the Possessionista is hosting the exclusive launch of BANDAID Brand by Cynthia Rowley Adhesive Bandages  for FNO. Enjoy treatments from Bliss spa and enter for a chance to win a pair of Cynthia Rowley sunglasses. If you read Dana’s blog at all, that’s reason enough to go. (1653 N. Damen Avenue, www.cynthiarowley.com)

H&M: They’ve got some serious prizes to offer for FNO. One winner at each participating store will receive an H&M gift card valued at $200 and all entries will be entered to win the Grand Prize of an all-expense paid trip to NYC  to attend a prelaunch shopping event celebrating Versace for H&M. Pretty sweet! (840 N. Michigan & 22 N. State, www.hm.com)

Topshop: It’s opening day on the 8th…and Topshop is offering FREE makeovers, styling tips and more.  Get your hair done by top stylists from the Kelly Cardenas Salon, enjoy live VIP DJs,  and get a free gift with purchase when you spend over $100. Coincidence that Topshop opens the same day as FNO? I think not. (830 N. Michigan, www.topshop.com)

Macy’s: It’s a celeb-filled evening at Macy’s on State for FNO. Appearances throughout the night include Kelly Osbourne, Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and celebrity stylist  Marcellas Reynolds to name a few. There’s so much going on at Macy’s…there’s something for everyone! (111 N. State, www.macys.com)

Events are generally from 6-9pm. More information at www.fashionsnightout.com

Topshop Topman Lollapalooza After Party

This weekend, I attended the Topshop/Topman Lollapalooza after party at Bar Deville. The venue was super laid back which goes along with the whole music festival theme. There were all sorts of people there; from those who were at Lolla all day in their cut-offs and tank tops to those decked out in dresses and sky high heels. And yes, I drank PBR in 6 inch Louboutins…so what? 🙂

Ran into Jeff from The Midwestyle!

This was such a fun event, and I got to see Tinie Tempah perform…which was really awesome. I’ve heard a few of his songs before but it was way cooler to see him live.

So basically (once again), Zapwater killed it. And I am so looking forward to more Topshop events and even more so…the TOPSHOP OPENING NEXT MONTH!

Topshop/Topman Truck at Lollapalooza

Can’t wait for Topshop and Topman to open this Fall? Neither can I. Which is why I’m so excited they’re debuting the Topshop/Topman truck this weekend at Lollapalooza!

Photobucket

The truck will debut in front of Grant Park, where you can come and pick up an exclusive fashion scarf! You can also enter for a chance to win a $1,500 shopping spree and VIP experience the day of launch of Topshop Chicago.

So check out the Topshop/Topman truck at Grant Park August 5-7 from 11am to 6pm. Be sure to follow @Topshop on Twitter for up-to-date info on their locations this weekend.

Topshop’s Secret Store

On May 26, Topshop will open its first ever Secret Store concept space in both the Oxford Circus and New York stores. Unfortunately Topshop Chicago is not open yet for them to be included in this but if you’re in New York or London, I HIGHLY recommend checking this out.

This new concept will give visitors the chance to purchase something truly unique and personal. Designers and individual pieces have been hand-picked by the Topshop team. Take a look at some of the featured designers that will be featured at the Secret Store.

Meadham Kirchhoff (jewelry), Nasir Mazhar (milliner), Maria Francesca Pepe (jewelry), Emma Cook (lingerie), Anne-Sofie Back (clothing), Michael Van Der Ham (shoes), Pamela Love (jewelry)

THE BOUTQUE: Topshop’s in-house team have produced a collection of bags and clothing especially for the Secret Store, which will be available alongside some other secret surprises.

THE UNIQUE ARCHIVE: Four iconic pieces from Unique collections of the past will be available for purchase, some of which have never been produced. This is an amazing opportunity to buy collectable Unique pieces, including a blouse and dress from Fall ’07, a grey playsuit from Spring ’08 and two maxi dresses from Spring ’10.

The Topshop Secret Stores will be open May 26 for two weeks only. Hope you find some amazing pieces…I’m sure you will!
