Although I love fashion (I wouldn’t have this website if I didn’t) I don’t like to spend a ton of time getting dressed. I’m always looking for easy outfits that are both comfortable and stylish, so when I start gravitating towards something that’s the perfect balance of both, I can’t help but share the news. I promise I won’t draw this out…but we do need to talk about all things drawstring.
When crop tops first came back into style a few years ago, people seemed to be a little skeptical. Show my stomach post-2003? As if! Now, you can’t flip through a magazine, browse a blog, look on any e-commerce site (or see a Kardashian) without noticing an array of midriffs and belly buttons.
If you’re already so over spring clothes (everything’s on sale now anyway) and you’re not quite ready for Fall fashion then I have the perfect happy medium for you. Want to know what you’ll be wearing when you vacation somewhere fabulous come January? (or for most of us it’s what we’ll be wearing next Spring that’s will technically be out of season but that just means better discounts). IT’S RESORT TIME.
I can’t even keep track of all the 90s revivals coming back — between overalls, crop tops, and fugly shoes you’d think it’s 1998 up in here. But thankfully designers have refined these trends (not so much the fugly shoes though) and hopefully we won’t look back on 2014 ten years from now in disgust. However, there’s one 90s trend resurfacing you can rock in any decade without looking outdated — that, my friends, is the choker necklace.
There’s many 90s references happening in fashion right now that we just can’t help feel nostalgic about. This isn’t the first time I’ve talked about it (and as long as overalls and crop tops are still happening, it won’t be the last) so in the words of a quintessential 90s band…
