The Best & Worst of the Fall 2012 Ads

Now that Spring ’13 is upon us (a month away to be exact), that means stores are finally getting in the Fall ’12 merchandise (see how fashion makes sense) and the new ad campaigns are out for all to judge. As always, there are some good ones and some that just confuse me, so to make things easy we’re just going to do this superlative style.

PhotobucketWorst hair: Chanel. I know it’s Chanel but come on…it looks like Edward Scissorhands went to town on this poor girl.

Personal Style with Atelier AZZA

If you haven’t heard of AZZA by Azeeza Desai Kahn, then note that you will be hearing much of her soon (and remember you heard it on ChiCityFashion first). With her use high quality fabrics, vibrant colors, unique embellishments and the most amazing studs and beading you’ll ever see…what more is there to want? Oh and she’s based in Chicago…even better!

I recently purchased a few of AZZA’s signature blazers and I’ve been dying to share them with you….but I had to make sure I could schedule a photoshoot with Amy Creyer of Chicago Street Style so I could ensure the photos would be perfect!

Day In The Life Instagram Road Trip on IFB

Over the weekend my photos were featured on IFB’s Instagram! These photos were used as part of their digital summer road trip featuring various bloggers from around the country. Every day until the end of the month IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) puts up 5 photos on their Instagram that best encompasses a day in the life of that blogger.

My day was Saturday so be sure to follow @_ifb on Instagram for even more #dayinthelife photos.

Bruce Jeffries Reinfeld Photography

It’s not often I post about a photographer on ChiCityFashion but when I come across something so awesome, I just can’t help but spread the word. Last year at Wells Street Art Fair I discovered Bruce Jeffries Reinfeld. I was immediately drawn to the Prada piece (see below) and didn’t think twice about purchasing it. Now it resides right above my bed and I’m still obsessed with it.

All of his photos start in black and white, then he digitally airbrushes color onto each image. It creates these whimsical yet beautiful photos that I am so intrigued by. The coolest part about Bruce? None of his photos are staged or manipulated. He sees something as it is, takes the photo then creates his art from there.

While at the art fair this year I was really inspired by this piece…so I decided to add it to my collection.
