Word on the street: turquoise is the color for 2010. It’s true. According to The Cut, New York Magazine’s fashion blog, “Pantone, which tracks colors in the fashion and home-décor industries, has named turquoise the color of 2010. Pantone’s executive director said it was the obvious choice because it’s soothing and makes people think of being on vacation, which we all need after the tough year of 2009.” See full post here. I completely agree. This is the exact reason why turquoise is one of my favorite colors. It’s a beautiful color that can be fun and bright or calming and tranquil. Either way…it’s a good thing.
Some may think turquoise is just for jewelry. Think again…

So if you are avoiding the snow and traveling south, pick up a turquoise swimsuit, sarong or coverup. Not going anywhere any time soon? Try a turquoise accessory like a chunky necklace or a great scarf.
