In the wonderful game known as fashion musical chairs, a big move was made (or at least FINALLY officially announced) yesterday. After rumors floating around that Nicolas Ghesquière would be taking over for Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton…LVMH confirmed that the former creative director of Balenciaga will indeed be heading to LV. So what should we make of all this? Let’s find out.

Repeat Offender
I never really understood that mentality of “not wearing anything twice.” If you’re going to buy something, you should probably wear it more than once, don’t you think? (with the exception of a wedding dress or bridesmaid dress…let’s hope the first time is a charm and you know that those dresses the bride says “you can totally wear this again” you’ll be tossing the second that reception is over). So I thought I’d really make a point to show you that regardless of a statement-making piece or a wardrobe staple, it’s totally okay to be a repeat offender.
Instead of having someone call me out on repeating items and looks, why not do it myself?
What Why Where: The Leather T-Shirt
You know I love a good t-shirt and I live my life in leather, so when the two become one I just throw my hands in the air and wave them like I just don’t care.
The Skirt Situation
After talking about my issues with skirts in yesterday’s post, I decided to use that as inspiration for today’s discussion. If you feel like a lady who lunches or a Gossip Girl character (from the early seasons, of course) when you put on a skirt then this post is for you. If not, at least you’ll find some inspiration for some of the coolest skirts available this season. They’re pretty awesome, trust me on this one.
Back[pack] To School
Shoulder bags, satchels, totes…most handbags have one thing in common — hands. With all the things we have to carry around these days (iPhone in one hand, Starbucks in another, perhaps a few September issues under your arm), hands are a hot commodity and we need them for important things. Like composing the perfect Instagram caption, pointing at that new restaurant I’ve been dying to try, and checking what’s new on the Net-a-Porter app just to name a few.
Even cross body bags can get in the way sometimes and they are one of the most common ways go about carrying your things hands free …unless you decide to go really old school and opt for a fanny pack (which I’m not totally opposed to). But today’s topic of discussion is about that other pack — the backpack.
