Collaboration Nation

We’ve already had the big discussion about designer collaborations but that conversation is too big for just one post. With this morning’s breaking news of Joseph Altuzarra being announced as the next designer to collaborate with Target, there’s a lot to chat about. But I wanted to go a different direction today — it seems that us fashion folks get wrapped up in the H&M and Target collaborations, but there’s so many more out there that deserve equal attention. Like what? How about the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund x J. Crew…

Pops of Pink

I haven’t been much of a pink fan since high school (and by pink I don’t mean Pink). Really because it reminds me of Paris Hilton saying “that’s hot” while accessorizing with something shiny and/or designer monogram, BUT for Fall 2014…looks like I have to see beyond The Simple Life and get creative with some pops of pink.

Repeat Offender

I never really understood that mentality of “not wearing anything twice.” If you’re going to buy something, you should probably wear it more than once, don’t you think? (with the exception of a wedding dress or bridesmaid dress…let’s hope the first time is a charm and you know that those dresses the bride says “you can totally wear this again” you’ll be tossing the second that reception is over). So I thought I’d really make a point to show you that regardless of a statement-making piece or a wardrobe staple, it’s totally okay to be a repeat offender.

Instead of having someone call me out on repeating items and looks, why not do it myself?

Met Gala Fashion: Almost Punk

So we already know who completely missed the punk memo last night, but we have to discuss those who tried…but failed. Not saying all of these ladies are on the worst dressed list, but their attempt at punk was so close…yet so far.
