The 2014 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

Last night, fashion’s finest celebrated the 11th annual CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, where the winners of this year’s prizes were announced (with the grand prize being $300k to be used towards the winning designer’s business…not too shabby). And although it’s important to know who was the lucky recipient of this prize, we also need to know who wore what, as I haven’t done a red carpet post in a while and I think I’m overdue for one. Don’t you?

CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Winner

One fashion program I hope never goes away is the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. Every year since 2004, they give a grant and mentorship to one promising designer after an extensive round of interviews, presentations, etc. (fun fact: Proenza Schouler’s Lazaro Hernandez and and Jack McCollough were the first ever winners). Last night was the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund dinner where this year’s winner was announced…

Red Carpet Fashion: 2013 CFDA Awards (Part 2)

What do you think of the CFDA awards red carpet so far? I hope you’re not bored yet (how can you ever be when it comes to judging celebrity fashion though?)

Onto part 2…

2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists Revealed

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists have been announced! This process is something I look forward to following every year because it’s fascinating to watch designers grow and evolve and how the CFDA & Vogue help make that happen. Last year, Joseph Altuzarra took home the $300,000 grand prize and the runners-up, Pamela Love and Creatures of the Wind’s Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters (from Chicago by the way!), took home $100,000.
