Yesterday I did something I rarely do at this point in the year so after it happened, I thought I should talk about it today.
What exactly did I do? I bought a sweater. Doesn’t seem groundbreaking, right? But just hear me out.

It seems like designers are no longer taking things too seriously. And I have to say…it’s about damn time. The Fall 2014 runways were full of humor and it’s official — this might be my favorite trend ever. Of course you’ll never find SpongeBob accessories at Chloe or Rick Owens, but it’s nice to get some funny fashion in our lives.
I haven’t been much of a pink fan since high school (and by pink I don’t mean Pink). Really because it reminds me of Paris Hilton saying “that’s hot” while accessorizing with something shiny and/or designer monogram, BUT for Fall 2014…looks like I have to see beyond The Simple Life and get creative with some pops of pink.
Lately, I’ve noticed two trends surfacing and when worn together, you can’t help but laugh a little. It’s kind of like that “fat guy in a little coat” moment from Tommy Boy, except it’s skinny models in oversized coats and tiny bags…
When it comes to the hairy styles of calf/pony hair, it’s something I was not always a big fan of. It was either leather or fur for me, and nothing in between. But then these Phillip Lim loafers came into my life while in London, and next thing I know there’s another pair of pony hair shoes on my feet and I’m writing a blog post about this furry material that I used to ignore.
So today I’d like you to join me in a conversation not about One Direction but about some other hairy styles…
