The Barney’s holiday theme and windows are something I look forward to every year. From Andy Warhol and Disney to Have a Foodie Holiday (my favorite), they’re always so spot on. This year, Barneys is getting Baz Dazzled and the gifts are as random / awesome as ever.
Although maneuvering my way anywhere on Michigan Avenue or Oak Street during the holidays is less than ideal, holiday-themed windows make it much more manageable. Especially those of one of the stores that’s best known for their holiday windows — Barneys.
This year, Barneys New York is teaming up with Disney to wish you an Electric Holiday. It’s like the best thing from childhood and my favorite store from adulthood have joined forces…and soon will have me spending a lot of money.
I went into Barneys yesterday and I could not believe how amazing the window display was (I also couldn’t believe that was my first time seeing it). Obviously, Barneys always has the most fantastic holiday window displays, but this one was extra special to me. It involves my 3 favorite things in the entire world…fashion, food and Chicago.
Seeing the “faces” of two of my favorite chefs, Rick Bayless and Grant Achatz (who happen to have phenomenal restaurants in Chicago), in the window of my absolute favorite store was pretty awesome.
To Simon Doonan and the Barneys team, I salute you 🙂
