With 2017 just around the corner, it’s almost time for that one night a year where it’s perfectly appropriate to overdo it on glitter and champagne (and curse Uber for suggesting that it will cost you at least $50 to get home). I can’t help you in the alcohol and transportation department BUT I can give you some beauty inspo for this sparkly evening.
When it comes to my monthly mood boards (AKA VIBES) I like to give you a variety of everything I’m feeling this month…BUT with it being September, the fashion category is basically consuming me right now. So with that said, here’s a look at the designers / styles / accessories (plus a few beauty obsessions) you might want to know about.
I hope I’m not speaking too soon when I say this, but it might just officially be no jacket season (which for Chicago, is actually quite early). To celebrate, I’m going totally sleeveless AND open toe for an easy outfit I’ll be wearing multiple times (but you just get to see it first!)
After a few years of looking for something to wear other than skinny jeans (re: the growing popularity of boyfriend jeans, the resurrection of flares, the launch of the relaxed skinny, etc.) we now have an array of options in the denim category (that will not suffocate your thighs). If you’re definitely a regular mom (and not a cool mom serving cocktails mocktails to your high school daughter, named Regina George, and her friends) then you’ll appreciate these jeans.
For quite some time, when it came to lips and nails I lived by the brighter the better. And like my personal style, my beauty preferences have changed over time too. Although I’ll still rock a red lip or blue nails every once in a while, it’s really been all about the neutrals for me, specifically the nudes.
