Art is one of those funny things that’s only worth what the highest bidder will pay, and like fashion, a piece can really speak to me while others may find it hideous. In this case, I don’t think you’ll find anything this artist does to be hideous. At the very least, it will put a smile on your face…

City Of Angels…And Palm Trees
I’ve had a very interesting relationship with LA over the last ten or so years — it used to be my favorite place in the world, but when I got a little older (and traveled to more places) I started to think about it much differently. After a trip last week, though, I’m starting to see the City of Angels (and Palm Tree Instagrams) in a whole new light…and not just because the lighting is always really good.

From sunny 70s everyday and now back to good old Chicago winters, LA was real. Of course these photos were taken the one day it rained when I was there (and maybe one of five days it rains all year) but it fit that whole black / white / grey motif my outfit was going for anyway…and happened to match this fantastic street art. So here’s a day in DTLA (or Downtown LA, if you’re not familiar).
