Lessons From Couture

Now that the Fall 2015 Couture shows have come to a close (and it’s Bastille Day…yay for French things!) I thought we could learn some lessons from these collections. We’re not all part of the lucky few who get to actually wear these works of art, but we can get some inspiration from them…and just pretend like we’re couturing ourselves for a minute, right?

What Why Where: Shift Into Neutrals

If you look at my personal style posts from a year or so ago, it’s very clear that I used to be all about color. I still love it, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes it’s hard to wear color in fall/winter, as finding warm clothing in brights is no simple task. I used to get frustrated with this but now I just embrace it…as I start to not wear as much color and shift into neutrals (it’s really not that bad!)

Red Carpet Fashion: Cannes 2014

Although the Cannes Film Festival isn’t over just yet, there’s way too many looks to judge to wait another four days (perhaps a part 2 will be coming your way next week?)

It’s safe to say Blake Lively is the new Diane Kruger for the 2014 Cannes red carpet. Just see for yourself.
