I’m just going to be short and sweet with this introduction, this month’s Chi City’s Most Stylish is basically the Anna Dello Russo of Chicago (except a hell of a lot younger and instead of working for a magazine, she works at the best store in the entire city).
Happy Thankgiving, Happy Hanukkah and most importantly, happy month of eating an absurd amount of food that you’ll probably regret January 1 but that’s what resolutions are for.
Of course I’m thankful for a lot of things…family, friends, YOU but one thing I’m thankful for that everyone can benefit from? DISCOUNTS.
In my first ever actually consistent multi-part series of gift guides this year, we’re now moving on from custom gifts to something more generic…but I’m going to [try and] make it more exciting. If you weren’t on a budget before, everyone seems to be on a budget when it comes to the holidays, but that doesn’t mean you should compromise your gift giving. There’s a trend I’ve been noticing in the shoe-niverse lately and unlike Birkenstocks or sneaker wedges, it’s something that isn’t so obviously trendy where you wouldn’t have to say in 5 years from now, “oh those are so 2013.”
Any awards show whose winners are based on the general public’s votes (as opposed to an academy of some sort) is bound to be terrible. But if a red carpet is involved, I suck it up because it’s not every day I get to judge one of these things. So just sit back, relax and enjoy some good, bad and 90s American Music Awards red carpet fashion.
