The Thanksgiving Stretch

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! Today’s the day where we OD on turkey (or tofurky if you swing that way), wear pants that either stretch, are two sizes too big or if you’re really lucky…no pants at all. So if you’re trying to figure out what to wear for today’s gorging festivities, I have a few suggestions I think you’ll be really happy about.

Thankful for Discounts

Happy Thankgiving, Happy Hanukkah and most importantly, happy month of eating an absurd amount of food that you’ll probably regret January 1 but that’s what resolutions are for.

Of course I’m thankful for a lot of things…family, friends, YOU but one thing I’m thankful for that everyone can benefit from? DISCOUNTS.

Ah, it’s that time of the year again. The one day where you can consume close to 3,000 calories (in one meal) and it’s completely acceptable. Where you feast at that awkward time that’s too late for lunch but way too early for dinner. And as much as you love pumpkin, you’re probably sick of it by the time you go to bed…but you’ll still get a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte in the AM.

Yes, it’s Thanksgiving.

Have a Stylish Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving all! I hope you’re prepping to feast on turkey (or tofurky for the vegetarians), stuffing and of course…pumpkin pie. If you feel yourself wondering what to wear on this food-filled occasion, I recommend stretchy pants (leggings, specifically…I’ll be wearing my favorite by David Lerner).

With the city looking mostly burnt orange/brown/mustard yellow due to all of the leaves on the ground, I thought I’d take this opportunity to showcase my favorite Thanksgiving-appropriate fashion finds. Enjoy!

Of course I can’t forget about the real meaning of Thanksgiving. Although I love fashion and I sometimes can go a little overboard with the shopping, I’m beyond thankful for everything I have. I’m extremely thankful to have amazing readers like you who have supported ChiCityFashion over the last [almost] 2 years. I wouldn’t be where I am without you…so thank you!
