I hate to make another one of those “beauty obsessions” posts (I’m sure you see plenty) but I’ve been trying a lot of new products lately and I haven’t done a beauty post in a while, so I thought I’d give it a go. This isn’t necessarily a summer beauty feature (these products are great now as well as year round) but because it’s July which means summer is in full swing (although that’s questionable in Chicago) it’s time to get your July beautified.
A lot of people have a tough time incorporating color into their wardrobe, and I always say the easiest way to do so is by utilizing bright accessories. But now with so many colorful shoes, jewelry and bags on the market…the accessories world can be a bit overwhelming. The simplest way to utilize color is the most intimidating for a lot of women. Can you guess what it is?
Ever since Thakoon x NARS happened, I’ve had some pretty high hopes for beauty collaborations (especially from NARS, because their products are awesome). Although you can’t technically call their latest collection “Andy Warhol x NARS” (for obvious reasons)….it’s as close as an Andy Warhol collaboration you’re going to get in 2012.
I used to do beauty obsessions posts, then I kind of forgot about them/haven’t tried many new products that I’m absolutely in love with…but this month, that all changed. I tried a some new beauty products recently (covering the main categories: cosmetics, hair and skincare) that I love so much I couldn’t keep them to myself.

Earlier this week I was invited to check out the launch of Tom Ford beauty at Neiman Marcus. I was especially excited about this because last Fall, I ordered the Violet Fatale lip color and African Violet nailpolish as soon as they were available online…and now these items (along with the entire Tom Ford beauty collection) are available at Neiman Marcus on Michigan Avenue.
