Colored denim has been a huge trend in the last year but when it’s 95 and humid like it’s been lately in Chicago, skinny jeans are the last thing on your mind. So instead of a DIY project (it takes serious skill to cut your own denim…trust me, I’ve tried) I picked out my favorite colored denim shorts and they’re all under $150!
Buffalo Princess Shorts

After traveling to (and falling in love with) Australia 2 summers ago, I was beyond thrilled to see one of my favorite shopping sites, Moda Operandi, embracing the fashion down under. While I was there, I even had the privilege of checking out an exhibit at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, all about Australian Fashion Week…which is what truly sparked my interest in Aussie fashion.

Style icon and Moda Operandi Artistic Director Taylor Tomasi Hill was in Australia for fashion week earlier this month and selected her favorites from all of the shows, and they’ve been making an appearance on MO since. There are few websites with the influence Moda Operandi has who celebrate fashion in Australia so it’s pretty great to have the opportunity to shop designers like Josh Goot, Dion Lee, Michael Lo Sordo, Ellery, Ksubi, Manning Cartell, and Camilla and Marc.
Loving tropical prints right now? Then you have to check out the latest Autralian designer to hit MO–Ksubi (ps. look #25 is my favorite!)
If you’re like me and can’t pass up a bright print, don’t miss out on Michael Lo Sordo (trunk show ends May 31).

So if you haven’t yet, go discover some Aussie designers on modaoperandi.com. Want even more down under fashion? Check out the Moda Operandi Magazine.

Is it too early to start talking September issues? I say no. Especially when, for the first time in history, Glamour is devoting its entire September issue to fashion. Every single editorial page and the issue as a whole will be seen through a “fashion lens.”
Can’t wait til September? Follow @glamourmag on Twitter and Pinterest. They even dedicated an entire board to #makingsept. I always appreciate when brands are innovative with social media and this is a great way to hype up Glamour readers for the largest issue of the year.

How can you not love a big pile of fabulous shoes?

Picking out the Glamour do’s and don’ts for the September issue. And a shameless plug…my picture happened to be in the Glamour do’s section of the May 2012 issue!
