What do you do when the Duchess of Cambridge turns 32? (besides wonder what your life would have been like if you married a prince before you were 30). You look at some of her past outfits (both good and bad), put her in THE Dolce & Gabbana crown (it’s her birthday and she is royalty, after all) with your not-existent Photoshop skills and #tbt to some of the best Kate Middleton moments.
Happy birthday, K-Mid.
Because it’s been way too long since we’ve seen some good red carpet looks and 2013 is over quicker than you can say FLATFORMS…why not spend your Christmas [food] hangover looking at pretty people in pretty things?
Here’s a look at my top 12 favorite red carpet looks (that don’t necessarily involve a carpet that is red) from this past year.
Why do you love fashion? What do you think of trends? How do you define personal style?
Do you think when designers like Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent answered these questions, they’d have such iconic answers? Although my responses of “Burn camo studded sneaker wedges” or “You’ll never find me in a bandage dress” or “We have to wear clothes everyday so why not have fun with it?” will never be as known as these fashion icons, I hope at least one person will remember them (besides my mom or my boyfriend).
Because I tend to injure myself on a daily basis due to sharp jewelry, spiked shoes or other fashion items that could potentially double as a weapon, I thought I’d do a little soul searching to figure out…why do I wear these things when I know a Cynthia Rowley Band-Aid will be in my near future? And I think I figured it out.
Could it be more perfect that the Net-a-Porter sale started yesterday on my birthday? I just like to think they had me in mind when planning for this special day (and disregard the fact that everyone has sales after Memorial Day).
I love this time of year because spring merchandise goes on sale and living in Chicago, we’ve barely broken in our spring wardrobes. The last Net-a-Porter sale in December, I rounded up my favorite discounted designer items under $200 but I thought I’d take on more of a challenge for this one…
