Chi City Closet: Elizabeth & James Fur Poncho

One of my favorite new purchases, this Elizabeth & James fur poncho has already been my go-to this season. Although it’s only Fall, Chicago seems to have just 2 seasons (frigid and humid) so for me, fur is 100% appropriate at this time.

You may recognize this from My Favorite Capes & Ponchos For Fall/Winter 2011 and yes…I took my own advice and went for it.  I’m so glad I did! This is by far my most comfortable piece of outerwear and I absolutely love the 70s vibe.

So, what do you think? What’s your go to piece so far for Fall?

My Favorite Fall/Winter Coats For 2011

A few weeks ago, I shared with you my favorite capes and ponchos for 2011. Although I love capes and ponchos, they aren’t for everyone. However, who doesn’t need a great coat for the Fall/Winter season? (especially those of us in Chicago!) I picked my favorites in a variety of styles and price points so I hope you can find one you love.

My Favorite Capes & Ponchos For Fall 2011

As I mentioned the other day I was quoted in the Red Eye about capes and ponchos for this season. In Chicago it is so important to have great outerwear because that’s what most people see about 75% of the year. Having a non traditional coat is just a fun way to spruce up your outerwear collection without compromising practicality.

Because I only got to pick one of my favorites for Fall 2011 for the Red Eye, I decided to dedicate an entire blog post to the best capes and ponchos in a variety of colors, styles and price points…so you’ll be sure to find one you love!
