Downpour Chic

Due to my extreme frustration with the recent weather (can anyone in Chicago remember the last day we did NOT have rain? I didn’t think so), I thought I’d channel this into something helpful. When it rains, we all seem to either give up on how we look or just ruin our outfits. Neither one is fun so I’m going to turn something bad (daily storms that occur when you least expect it so you better have an umbrella at ALL times) into something good (an excuse to go shopping).

In The Clear

Clear accessories, especially handbags, are a photographer’s dream during fashion week. Although I can’t recommend wearing one if you carry your life with you on a daily basis, there are ways to do see-through right. Whether it be a bag, sunglasses or even a jacket, this trend can either be your best friend (see below) or your worst enemy (ie. stripper heels).

Ford “It” Girl: Asia B

I mentioned last week that the stunning Noel has an equally gorgeous younger sister, Asia. When I happened to choose both of them for this shoot and later found out they were sisters, it was a must that we shot them together. And of course, we did!

What Why Where: The Great Indoors

I mentioned yesterday on Instagram that I’m trying something different today on ChiCityFashion. Normally my What Why Where posts are shot outside, but considering it’s in the low 30s [on a good day] I’m giving an indoor shoot a shot. Seriously, I don’t know how personal style bloggers who live in cold weather conditions do this on a daily.

A Lesson in Geometry

When it comes to math, I am absolutely clueless. I use a calculator for things that most 5th graders could probably do in their head (so obviously I am NOT smarter than a 5th grader) but at least I can beat them when it comes to fashion knowledge. That must count for something.

One sector of math that didn’t completely kill my GPA in highschool was geometry. I like shapes on clothes, so I’m sure I could figure it out on paper. Granted I didn’t get an A+ (overachieving was so uncool at the time) but I passed…and that’s all that matters.
