A few months ago I went to dinner with some friends and I was wearing pretty much this exact outfit (just a different cropped red sweatshirt, naturally). One friend sarcastically goes, “oh you couldn’t dress up for us?” I thought it was hilarious, as I’ve only been wearing sweatshirts (and sweatpants) this winter. But anything can be elevated with the right shoes (both literally and figuratively — re: heels).
I love clothes with an element of surprise — whether it’s a subtle detail or something as obvious as an open back sweatshirt. But today, it’s all about those business in the front, party in the back vibes.
We already decided that it is okay to wear sweatpants in public (within reason, of course), but what about an entire sweatsuit? I say…JUST DO IT.
Lace on lace. Sweatshirt and sweatpants. Let’s just say I’m one happy girl.
I think we’ve all experienced that “the one that got away feeling.” You finally fall in love, you find “the one” but there’s something about “that one” you feel you have to resist the temptation and just walk away. I’m obviously talking about shopping here. How many times have you seen something you just can’t live without but you look at the price tag and it’s too much or you realize your closet just can’t fit another thing in there? It happens. Sometimes we eventually get over it, sometimes we never do. But either way, we’re going to talk about the one that got away.
