You know I’m always down for trying something new on CCF — whether it’s how to eat your way to better skin and whiter teeth or smiling hearts that will make you smile right back — it can’t be about fashion all the time. Today’s post actually does involve fashion, as it’s about shoes (our favorite subject), but these are way cooler than any other footwear out there (even my beloved Givenchy slip-ons)…
If you haven’t been able to tell by now through my Instagram and personal style posts, I have this thing for street art. I just find it super cool to have access to art that’s beautiful, funny, ironic, and / or overall just intriguing…without having to step foot in a gallery. It catches you by surprise, as you never know when you’ll come across it. So that’s why I wanted to start profiling the brains behind these [sometimes illegal] operations. First up? Don’t Fret.
Art is one of those funny things that’s only worth what the highest bidder will pay, and like fashion, a piece can really speak to me while others may find it hideous. In this case, I don’t think you’ll find anything this artist does to be hideous. At the very least, it will put a smile on your face…
If you’ve ever been to Miami, you know it’s a city of a lot of things — European and Latin influence, a big art scene (hello Art Basel!), The Webster…and rhinestone jean pockets. This is something I just figured out for myself after traveling there for the first time this last week. So now that we have this new travel section here on CCF, let’s welcome ourselves to Miami (although as of last night, it’s more like “welcome to the movie Frozen“).
