Hello Uniqlo!

The day we’ve all been waiting for is almost here (and if you’re wondering what that day is, it’s UNIQLO COMING TO CHICAGO). So in the mean time, let’s get a peek at the brand’s awesomeness (with a little help from my favorite Peanuts characters)…

Now this post isn’t all about Uniqlo coming to Chicago…there was actually some cool stuff they did this past weekend for Lollapalooza. But you’ll just have to keep reading to find out!

I don’t know what it is about Lolla but every year it takes me at least a few days to get back into real life. Between being outside for three days, listening to great music, and of course the after parties…I don’t really snap back into it until like Wednesday. But I still can’t help bur reminisce about the good times. Yes, I got to see Paul McCartney, experience one of my very good friends dress one of the acts, and I learned that I really like Zoe Kravitz’s music. Now she’s only one third of Lolawolf (the act that performed at Nylon / Uniqlo’s Lolla after party on Saturday night) but I already dig her style (and it should be no surprise she’s Nylon‘s August cover star) so I’m glad I dig her sound vibes too.

I’ve known for a while now that Uniqlo’s coming to Chicago (actually I thought it was already open!) but this party put the name back in the front of my mind (assuming that was the point…and it worked). Now I’m really looking forward to Fall ’15…and not just because the collections are extra good this year 🙂

Although this look is very Fall-ish (and yet another time I wear a sweatshirt dress and sneakers together…absolutely not sorry) I decided to just go for it now. I typically don’t match my shoes to my outfit (unless it’s a neutral like black or white) but I wanted to try something new. You know I like to keep it casual, as does Uniqlo, so that’s why I’m a fan the brand. They have super cool “special collections,” especially SPRZ NY which merges fashion and art. There’s clothing inspired by Andy Warhol and Keith Haring just to name a few (#legit) but as you already know, I’m kind of obsessed with the Peanuts (and thankfully so is Uniqlo) so this sweatdress had to happen.

So now that I’ve raved about my love for Snoopy, sweatdresses, and music festivals…shop my favorite Uniqlo pieces below. And be on the look out for the Michigan Ave store opening this Fall!
